Although my interest in the NARUTO series has dwindled over the last year or so, I still keep up with the manga. When my favourite moments of Shippuuden were animated, I started to watch the anime once more. Of those episodes were the ones where Itachi battle Sasuke and died. One of my favourite parts was the flashback sequence in episode 141 when Sasuke learns the truth about Itachi. If anything, the music really did it for me. It was a nice combination.
Itachi's always been one of my favourite characters, but as with all my favourite characters of any series, he rarely gets drawn because he's always given me difficulty and it's always hard to think of something good to draw.
I was originally going to draw a dying Itachi as he said his final words to Sasuke, but I really liked the moement he said he'd always be there for Sasuke no matter what. So, I chose that scene to redraw.

I didn't get to save as many progress shots during this one because it was such a quicksketch. So, there is a big gap between the second and third images, as well as between the third and final image :(
As I mentioned, I find it difficult to draw anything in Itachi's likeness, which is why there is little resemblance here. Still, I suppose there's slight improvement over the last time I drew Itachi a little over a year ago, if you overlook the different techniques and lack of colour in the more recent image.
